In 1984 Mr. Ayed opened a restaurant and named it "Al Ayed" adjacent to the old cafeteria in the Street of Prophets. The Ayed menu has a variety of cuisine for more than 32 varieties of dishes Palestinian and Arab and foreign countries and included some of the old dishes that rarely now made in the homes like sheep stuffed with rice and pine nuts, harissa and Basbousa 
another important features of Al Ayed restaurant is its location, overlooking the Old City of Jerusalem and its walls of gold and the most  important and greatest sections of the city of Jerusalem also its called (Bab al-Nasr)(the door of Nablus) (Damascus Gate) (section of Damascus) 
 And today, Ayed and his sons who manage the restaurant with a group of skilled chefs parents experience and skill of children.The restaurant has a high quality of air conditioning and free Web access
